At NMS, safety isn’t an obligatory strategy; it’s the backbone of our work.
Once again, NMS was nationally recognized for our safety performance by the National Safety Council (NSC). NMS received multiple awards for both unit level performance and for building a culture of safety companywide in 2015.
We’ve challenged every employee to improve our safety standards and the way we do business. Together, we’ve successfully built a culture of safety throughout our company in every service we provide.
“Earning these awards is no small feat, and our employees and managers should be very proud of both their safety performance and of the award recognition they are receiving from the NSC,” said Craig Clemens, vice president of health, safety, security and environment (HSSE). “Working and staying safe takes everyone working together. Our focus on safety ensures more employees are staying safe at work and at home and are helping their coworkers do the same.”
Each year, the NSC recognizes companies for the hard work that goes into preventing injuries and saving lives. As an organization, they provide training, programs and recognition for companies to help employees stay safe on the job and at home. As a reflection of employee, company and community dedication to safety, the awards are presented each year after careful evaluation of safety standards, procedures and statistics. NSC award programs recognize companies throughout the U.S. for their success in achieving workplace safety.
Matt Daggett, president of NMS, expressed his enthusiasm for the awards: “What terrific recognition for our companywide safety effort. The true measure of our success is our employees’ attitude toward safety every day on every job. Our real reward for our safety performance is YOU, staying safe and keeping each other safe. Thank you for your dedication to this effort.”
