Glenn grew up between Anchorage and Kotzebue and comes from a family with Iñupiaq and Portuguese heritage. When he’s not at work, he enjoys gaming and watching the Food Network.
A member of the NMS team for more than nine years, Glenn enjoys mentoring NANA shareholders who are new to the culinary field and take pride in leading by example while supporting his team wherever needed.
One of his favorite memories at NMS comes from his time as a Production Baker, when holiday baking allowed him to showcase his creativity through specialty desserts and cakes—his favorite items to create.
“I was given the opportunity to express myself in everything I’ve done,” Glenn says. “I could give the client a piece of my heart and soul.”
Many people are surprised to learn that Glenn has never attended culinary school. Everything he’s learned has come from mentors, hands-on experience, and his own passion for the craft.
Looking ahead, Glenn is grateful for the opportunities NMS has provided and hopes to continue learning, mentoring shareholders, and making a difference. While he isn’t sure where the next five years will take him, he knows his passion will always be in the kitchen, leading through example and servant leadership.
