Charley Burt is the Director of Business Improvement, Growth and Strategy as part of the NMS Senior Leadership Team. He leads the eCort to create and deploy the NMS company strategy – ACE28. Charley is instrumental in analysis related to winning new business, retaining current clients, and innovating NMS services.
Charley was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and, aside from attending college in Portland, Oregon, has never left. In his leisure time, Charley is a licensed pilot and is a board member and President of the Institute of Management Accountants, Alaska Chapter.
Beginning his career with NANA Development in February of 2002, Charley was responsible for accounting for the Hotels Division, evolving into roles of increasing analytical and strategic significance over the years. Along the way, he earned numerous accounting & finance certifications, but his most memorable achievements revolved around being part of the growth. “I get the most meaning from my work when we can impact the lives of our employees and the communities we serve. Adding a new service location creates more jobs and extends the reach of NMS in our mission to serve more of Alaska.”
