As part of our 50th Anniversary, NMS proudly donated $10,000 to Covenant House Alaska, the state’s largest provider of services for homeless and runaway youth. Covenant House offers shelter, transitional housing, education and employment programs, and the support needed to guide youth from homelessness to independence.
During our time together, we toured Covey Academy, an innovative vocational training center. This unique facility provides youth with opportunities to gain valuable skills, participate in credentialed training programs, and transition to stable housing and employment.
We also spent time connecting directly with residents, sharing insights about job opportunities at NMS and how we can support their career journeys. Additionally, our team helped assemble care kits for Covenant House’s youth outreach team, who work tirelessly to meet young people where they are and provide resources, hope, and connection.
Covenant House Alaska relies on the generosity of the community to continue its vital work. You can make a difference by volunteering or donating today.
