What is required to apply online?

What does a remote job mean?
NMS camp services provides food and facilities management to remote operations, such as the Red Dog Mine and the Prudhoe Bay Operations Center. The remote locations are only accessible by scheduled flights operated by our clients. Watch our video to find out what it’s like to work at a remote camp.
What happens after I am offered a position?
An NMS recruiting manager will contact you to start the onboarding process, which consists of several steps you will need to take:
1) complete your new hire paperwork;
2) bring in two acceptable documents of identification to complete an I-9 form;
3) complete pre-employment drug screening, which is dependent on contract/location and includes a urinalysis and/or hair follicle test;
4) pass a criminal background check;
5) complete a physical assessment; and
6) provide verifiable references. All job offers are contingent on passing the pre-employment drug test, a post-offer physical assessment and a criminal background check.
Can I sign up for direct deposit?
Yes! We encourage all of our employees to have their paychecks deposited directly into their checking and savings accounts. If you would like to sign up for direct deposit, please bring a voided check and complete an NMS direct deposit form, which authorizes the payroll department to deposit your paycheck electronically.

What is the physical assessment?
All NMS employees conduct either a functional capacity evaluation or a fit-for-duty evaluation. All offers are contingent on passing applicable evaluations to meet requirements of the employment contract or location.
What is a fit-for-duty test?

Are there any rules of employment?
NMS provides a drug-free, violence-free, hostility-free and discrimination-free work environment. Many forms of misconduct are against company policy and may result in immediate termination, law enforcement notification, or both. Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, drunkenness, possession or use of illegal drugs, possession of firearms and acts or threats of violence. All NMS positions require pre-employment drug testing.
