Jay Morrison was recognized as Medical Team Member of the Year this March at the annual Alpine Awards dinner.
ConocoPhillips’ Alpine field is one of North America’s largest conventional onshore oil fields developed in the past 25 years. NMS operates the camp providing security, food services, and integrated facilities management.
The Medical Team Member of the Year Award is unique in all the members of the response team vote, excluding leadership. Jay’s peers used the below criteria to choose who to nominate:
- Regular participation
- Leadership qualities
- Performance at callouts
- Mentoring new members
- Stepping up above and beyond anyone else
Jay has been part of the Alpine security team for nearly three years, also serving as a member of the medical, fire, rescue, and hazmat response teams.
Before joining NMS, Jay graduated from UAF with a Fire Science degree. He then worked on the Peninsula for both Nikiski and Central Emergency Services retiring after 20 years of service.
