In Partnership: NMS and SpotterRF Win Major Award at Milestone Symposium

July 23, 2017 | NMS

On Feb. 15, 2017, NMS and SpotterRF, a security vendor specializing in compact and portable radar technology, won the prestigious Integration of the Year Award at the 12th annual Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS) in San Antonio, Texas. Milestone honored NMS, SpotterRF and Differential Networks for partnering to create a product that enhances the usability of SpotterRF, for which NMS is an authorized dealer.

The solution, or plugin, was designed by NMS and provides a vast coverage area that detects movement on the ground and in the air. It interfaces directly with Milestone Systems (a video management server) to ensure that content captured by radar on the server is delivered to the client. Because of its effectiveness and advanced technology, the plugin was even used last year as part of security efforts to protect the presidential debate in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Milestone recognized NMS, along with SpotterRF and Differential Networks, for developing a collaborative product, recognizing and incorporating customer feedback into the solution.

“The unique partnership adopted a community approach,” said Ed Knoch, director of security technology solutions, “and we’re honored to be recognized for achieving a direct, positive outcome for customers, vendors and the development team. NMS has proven to our customers and suppliers our ability to provide unique solutions anywhere in the United States that deliver immediate results with a limited footprint.”

Robert Kusche, business development director, Edward Michta, director of business development (East Coast), and Edward Knoch were on-hand to present the plugin onstage and receive the award.
