Vice President of Operations, Lodging
Jeannette has served as vice president of operations, lodging since January 2007. As vice president of operations, Jeannette provides strategic direction and oversight for all lodging operations, including hotels in Anchorage and Kotzebue.
Jeannette has more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, starting her career as a Marriott front desk clerk in Phoenix. Currently responsible for rooms inventory of more than 625 rooms, Jeannette directs more than 200 employees, and oversight of all departments including asset management, sales and marketing, food and beverage, housekeeping and front desk. Through her direction, the division has grown from the single management of the first Alaska Marriott franchise, the Courtyard Anchorage Airport, to its current four Marriott franchised properties and the Nullagvik Hotel in Kotzebue, Alaska.
Jeannette began her NMS career as the first general manager of Courtyard Anchorage Airport in 1997. She also spent some time in Kotzebue managing the Nullagvik Hotel. In 1998 NMS acquired additional hotel management contracts, and Jeannette was promoted to Director of Operations, Lodging.
Jeannette holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University in Phoenix, as well as an MBA from Alaska Pacific University.
